Lindsay Edwards, PhD is the Children and Youth Mental Health Treatment Act (CYMHTA) Program Manager at Behavioral Health Administration (BHA). She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and an American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy Approved Supervision. Lindsay joined the BHA after eight years of working as an Associate Professor at Regis University where she provided family therapy, clinical supervision, and graduate education. 

Amy Annett is the CYMHTA Liaison and Clinical Care Coordinator for Carelon Behavioral Health, the Administrative Services Organization responsible for regions 2, 4, and 7 in the State of Colorado. 

Description of Presentation

This presentation will introduce the Children and Youth Behavioral Treatment Act (CYMHTA), describe the eligibility criteria and application requirements for accessing clinical services through CYMHTA, and discuss how LMFTs can become involved as clinical assessors and providers.

What are three learning objectives for your presentation*

  1. Presentation attendees will be able to describe the key provisions and objectives of the Child and Youth Behavioral Treatment Act.

  2. Presentation attendees will be able to list the criteria children and youth must meet to be eligible for Child and Youth Behavioral Treatment Act funding.

  3. Presentation attendees will be able to identify what opportunities are available for them to provide services through the Child and Youth Behavioral Treatment Act.

Join us on the 3rd Thursday of each month for our continuing education Train & Gain webinar series.

[60-minute presentation eligible for 1 CEU then an optional, 30-minute Q&A to follow]
